I have looked at this work as to me it reflects some aspects of teenaged pregnancy. Perhaps this is the reality of it and maybe it is not all beautiful.
This image is very interesting and unusual as Lucian Freud has taking the pose of quite a traditional pose for a painting but we would usualy expect to see the women looking elegant. She has turned this idea on the head and shown a women looking overly exposed and un posed for.
