- I tried hand stitching onto the paper wich was difficult as the paper ripped easily. I did not want to use the machine as I wanted to give it a hand made and a personal feal to my pieces. It was realy difficult to stitch images that my friend had sent me onto any of the fabrics and I felt that this would also personalise the prints too much and I wanted them to apply to all teenaged mums.
- I tried stitching one of her scans onto the paper but it took a long time and it did not give me the effect I wanted
- The towel fabric did not work well for me as the thin threads got lost in it and you had to go over it lots of times.
- This is a sample I made and I tried out possible techniques to use on my final pieces
